Jakarta, IDN Times – The MilkLife Strikers team started Singa Cup 2026 with sweet results. This squad of Indonesian little heroines successfully crushed the host representatives, Lion City Sailors, with a landslide score of 6-1 at The Rainforest Hub, Singapore, Sunday (1 November 2026).

This goal released the tension which triggered the next wave of goals from Keyla Azzahra’s header and Nadia Shakila’s penalty. Ika Wonda then completed the host’s misery by scoring two quick goals in just one minute. One additional goal from Ika in the second half successfully closed the match with a convincing score of 6-1.

The former Persipura Jayapura coach appreciated their courage and fighting power. “I’m happy that the players were able to overcome their nervousness on the first day. Even the slightest opportunity must be maximized, and that’s what they did today,” said Jacksen after the match. Jacksen also highlighted the team harmony that developed beautifully during the training camp. Togetherness is what makes the players able to play solidly.
- 3. Becomes a benchmark for youth development. MilkLife Soccer Challenge Program Director, Teddy Tjahjono, called this victory good news for the future of Indonesian women’s football. Teddy believes that Singa Cup is the right arena to measure the extent of the results of youth development at the grassroots level. “We try to give the best players the opportunity to directly test the quality of opponents from various countries,” said Teddy. In the MilkLife Strikers squad for the U-12 girls category, Adelice is trusted to fill the midfielder position. She is one of the selected players from various regions in Indonesia to gain experience competing at international level.
MilkLife Strikers’ victory over Lion City Sailors was marked by Ika Wonda’s impressive performance. The striker from SD Kristen Manahan Surakarta managed to score a hat-trick in the opening match.
The other three goals were contributed by Locita Waranggani, Keyla Azzahra Putri and Nadia Shakila Azzahra from the penalty spot.
MilkLife Strikers coach, Jacksen F. Tiago, said the victory could not be separated from the players’ ability to maximize opportunities. Apart from that, the competitive mentality is also a concern considering that the players have to face strong opponents from other countries.
I told the children that no matter how small an opportunity they had, they had to be maximized. That’s what they did today. Earlier the opposing team had done high-pressing, from there we managed to exploit the emptiness in their back line.

The experience of competing in Singapore is a valuable opportunity for the players to develop their skills. Moreover, they come from different school and regional backgrounds so they need a process to build unity.
I’m also happy that the players were able to overcome their nervousness on the first day. Moreover, we managed to win against a strong team like Lion City Sailors. For me, them being able to come here and get playing experience is very valuable.
