  • 1. Play smartly and take advantage of your opponent’s gaps. The match was actually quite tight. Lion City Sailors immediately launched high pressure on the MilkLife Strikers defense line, but the Indonesian players’ ingenuity in controlling the tempo through short passes succeeded in reducing the opponent’s aggressiveness. The home side’s back line being careless due to high pressure was exploited perfectly through Locita Waranggani’s quick goal in the 3rd minute. This goal released the tension which triggered the next wave of goals from Keyla Azzahra’s header and Nadia Shakila’s penalty. Ika Wonda then completed the host’s misery by scoring two quick goals in just one minute. One additional goal from Ika in the second half successfully closed the match with a convincing score of 6-1.
  • 2. Jacksen F. Tiago is satisfied with the team mentality. Coach Jacksen F. Tiago smiled broadly at the performance shown by his team’s children. The former Persipura Jayapura coach appreciated their courage and fighting power. “I’m happy that the players were able to overcome their nervousness on the first day. Even the slightest opportunity must be maximized, and that’s what they did today,” said Jacksen after the match. Jacksen also highlighted the team harmony that developed beautifully during the training camp. Togetherness is what makes the players able to play solidly.
  • 3. Becomes a benchmark for youth development. MilkLife Soccer Challenge Program Director, Teddy Tjahjono, called this victory good news for the future of Indonesian women’s football. Teddy believes that Singa Cup is the right arena to measure the extent of the results of youth development at the grassroots level. “We try to give the best players the opportunity to directly test the quality of opponents from various countries,” said Teddy. Due to this victory, MilkLife Strikers temporarily topped the standings with the Malaysian representative, Selangor FC Academy A. The Nepalese representative, Rato Bangala School, was the next test for the Red and White representative.
