16. Lightning Alerts

If the lightning alert goes off at the match venue, then all teams are to head for the nearest shelter.

Matches will resume once the lightning alert goes off. Please understand that this decision is for the safety of all participants.

In cases of extreme weather conditions, a decision on the status of affected games will be made within 30 minutes of the abandonment. If a match has exceeded 50% of game time, the score will remain as it was at the time of abandonment.

Games that are not played at scheduled times due to weather conditions may be rescheduled to a later time; information will be communicated to the team officials.

We make our utmost effort to complete the tournament in full, each team playing a minimum of 4 games. However, we would consider reducing game duration if fixture congestions are badly aggravated by extreme weather interference. This is a decision that must be taken to ensure that the tournament faces minimal disruption.

17. Walk Over

Any team who fails to appear at the appointed time and venue for a match without a valid reason will be subjected to a 3-0 walkover, after a decision by the jury.

If a team repeatedly fails to appear at the games, the team will be rejected from the tournament and will not be accepted into future tournaments.

If a match is interrupted for some reason and can’t be played to the end, the jury will decide if the game has to be replayed, if the result will remain or if one of the teams or both teams lose 3-0.
