It is the women’s football championship (WFC) in Singapore.

This championship was attended by three other representatives, namely Lion City Sailors (Singapore), Phranakorn FC (Thailand), and Kaya FC – Iloilo (Philippines).

Persib Putri, which is archivized by Iwan Bastian, brought 18 players to the WFC 2022 tournament.

Persib’s current squad is the majority of players coached by the Women’s Persib Academy. The plan is that this team is also prepared to compete in the Women’s League 1.

“We brought 18 players to take part in this tournament. The majority of them are from Persib Academy,” said the coach, Iwan.

“The Persib (Women’s) Academy starts from Bandung and other branches of the Persib Academy such as Cikarang, Purwakarta,” she continued to explain.

Tonight’s first match Persib Putri will face Phranakorn FC, at the German European School Ground, #Singapore.

Ibas, the coach’s nickname, did not have high expectations about the performance of his players.

He only hopes that the players can get the opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere of the game at the championship level.

“The focus, we want to give players a chance to collect playing minutes,” Ibas said.

“They have the experience of facing opponents whose quality is above the top. At the same time, the team’s tactics will continue to be conveyed to players,” he explained.

Persib Putri forward, Neng Resti Agustiani, is ready to contribute to his team at the WFC 2022 event.

Although she was injured during the preparation period, she is now ready to help Persib to a first victory.

“If the coach gives me confidence, I’m ready to contribute. I did have an ankle injury, but now it’s getting better,” Resti said.

Although the opponents faced are different classes, Resti hopes that his team’s collective play can show the quality of the team that represents Indonesia.

Resti was determined to contribute a goal in the first game.

“Although the opponents will be different later, but we are confident that we can get maximum results as long as we all play vigorously and can cooperate well. Hopefully, we can get a good result tomorrow,” she hoped.
