SINGA CUP 2012 BOYS U12 SEMI-FINALS
08th November 2012, Thursday
Venue: St Wilfred Sports Complex
0900H : Imran Soccer Academy (IDN) – JSSL Arsenal Soccer Schools (SIN)
1000H : Javan Hawk Academy (IDN) – Football West Australia U12 (AUS)

Thursday morning will be time where the top 4 teams in the Singa Cup 2012 U12 Category face off. Interestingly, just as how the Indonesian teams had dominated the U14 category, Imran Soccer Academy and the juniors of the U14 Finalist, Javan Hawk Academy top their respective groups in the U12 Group Stage. However, they will be facing tough opposition in the Semi-Finals with JSSL Arsenal Soccer Schools (SIN) and Football West Australia U12 (AUS) are not pushovers.

If Imran Soccer Academy and Javan Hawk Academy were to win their semi-finals, it would be a huge boost of hopes for the future of Indonesian football!

Checking the results at http://www.singacup.com/2012-girls-u18/ , you would have noticed that the group stage for the U18 Girls Category is over.

Football West Australia U18 (Australia) and JSSL Arsenal Soccer Schools (Singapore) will meet again in the Finals after their close match in the first group game which seen Football West Australia U18 winning by just a one goal margin.

Since then, both teams went on to win all their remaining matches, and of significance, is the emergence of both team’s top strikers: Siobhan Longmore of Football West Australia U18 and Rosie Alice Binham-Hall of JSSL Arsenal Soccer Schools. Both ended the group stage with a 6 goals tally, tying at the top of the U18 Scorers Tables, and it is a sure thing that the coaches will be looking at them for that edge over their adversary in the coming Finals this Friday.

As of their first meeting, this match is likely to be a very close encounter and the winner will be crowned the first Female Champions of Singa Cup!

U14 Semi Final Results:

FT: Javan Hawk Academy 4 – 1 Football West Australia U14 (AUS)
FT: SSB Bontang (IDN) 3 – 0 Ascot Football Academy (THA)

It will be an all Indonesian finals at the Singa Cup 2012 U14 Category!

It had been a spectacular display by both Indonesian teams as both top their respective groups with perfect 4 wins out of 4 results over the group stages, scoring a startling 52 goals between them!

This would definitely be listed as THE MATCH to watch come this Friday’s Singa Cup 2012 Finals.

This also borne well for Indonesia’s youth football development, as its a proof that they will continue to be the football nation in South East Asia to watch in the near future.

Youth Football Home Phuket (Thailand) already clinched their spot in the Singa Cup 2012 U18 Boys Final as they racked up a perfect result, earning 12 pts with 4 wins in 4 matches and scored an impressive 20 goals, conceding just once.

Still with so many matches in the group to play, Youth Football Home Phuket had already set themselves as the favourites to win this year’s U18 Singa Cup title.

The current most likely opponent in the Singa Cup U18 Final would be University of San Carlos (Philippines) whom already scored 9 pts, although we cannot discount any of the other teams’ ability to fight back into contention as all of teams are still mathematically still in the competition for the Finals.

So check out the big match on Wednesday, that’s between German European School (Singapore) and Bombay Gymkhana Colts (India); a rematch of last year’s Singa Cup 2011, which German European School edged Bombay Gymkhana Colts 3-2 in an intense high octane match! The Indians would be keen to revenge on last year’s close encounter.

There will also be a rescheduled match between Football West Australia U16 (Australia) against Real Diablos Rojos (Singapore), due to the thunderstorm in the Tuesday’s early afternoon! The Australians will be keen to get their campaign back on track while the Singaporean side is still looking for their first point in their first ever outing in the Singa Cup.

The bulk of the rest of the group matches will be played on Thursday.

The U14 Results for Day 2 had been entered and table is updated. -> http://www.singacup.com/2012-boys-u14/

Congratulations to

Javan Hawk Academy for emerging as the Group A winner;
SSB Bontang as the Group B Winner;
Football West Australia U14 as the Group B Runners Up

The semi final spot for the Group A Runner Up is NOT DECIDED yet as Ascot Football Academy (THA) is tied at 6 pts with RIFA U14, and holding 2nd spot due to a 4 goals difference advantage.

Ascot Football Academy have to avoid losing more than 4 goals in Wednesday’s final group match against Football West Australia U13 to ensure qualification.

Qualification to the semi finals now lies in Ascot Football Academy’s own hands.

Would Football West Australia U13 play villain and springs a surprise result to send RIFA U14 to the semis instead; or will Ascot Football Academy cement their 2nd spot?

Find out at 1400H at The Cage Sports Park on Wednesday 7th November 2012. Pitch 02.
