Due to the 5 groups set up, the Best 3rd Placing team will qualify to the PlayOffs against one of the 2nd placed teams – with points, and then goal different determining the team that will be rated best 3rd.

However, as it turns out, both Sugbu Calidad FC (Philippines) from Group B and Ateneo de Manila (Philippines) scored the exact same points and goal difference.

As per the rules, which was briefed to all teams, the final indicator would be goal scored in such a scenario.

As such, Ateneo de Manila qualifies by superior goal scored – 19 goals vs 16 by Sugbu Calidad.
