“Firstly, I would like to sincerely thank the SingaCup organisers for the privilege of sharing my thoughts on this very meaningful and ever-growing international football event taking place in Singapore.

The Real Madrid Foundation Technical Academy Singapore is an educational project using football and its inherent sporting values as a vehicle to develop the skills and character of individuals. To achieve these goals both in Singapore and around the region, we are proud to have a professional technical team led by Real Madrid Foundation coaches, who are based in Singapore but have also conducted training clinics around the region.

Now in our third season in Singapore, our team has had the chance to witness and evaluate the progress of the Singapore sports industry in general and the football scene in particular over the years.

We have witnessed with admiration the evolution of the SingaCup, an event that shares a common vision with us regarding the power of sport to connect players from different places, backgrounds and cultures and teaching them important lessons on healthy habits, values and character development.

We firmly believe that, with many more teams and participants coming from different countries than ever, SingaCup 2015 will again contribute to motivating young players, reinforcing their passion and love for the game, and creating lifelong memories in this amazing country of Singapore for players and managers alike.

Finally, we would like to highlight and give our congratulations to the job, passion and commitment of the SingaCup organisers, volunteers and supporters, who are once again making an invaluable contribution to the continuous development of Singapore´s sporting culture and standards.

Our team wishes Singacup 2015 all the very best.”

Your sincerely,
Sergio Cervantes
