This time the club from Denpasar City is sending two teams, the under-8 age group (Kelompok Usia di Bawah 8 Tahun, KU-8) and the under-10 age group (KU-10), to compete and to gain experience on the international stage.

Two squads of 12 players

The Denpasar City FC management coordinator, Putu Sayang Merdawa, said taking part in SingaCup 2026 is part of the club’s continuing development of early-age players. The two teams being sent are the result of selection and development based on the training scheme applied by the coaching team.

At SingaCup 2026 we are sending two age groups, KU-8 and KU-10. Each team is made up of the 12 best players from our selection. Our target is of course to win the title, but just as important is giving the children experience of playing at international level.

Putu Sayang Merdawa, Denpasar City FC management coordinator

He explained that before taking part in the international tournament, the Denpasar City FC players had played in various competitions at Bali regional and national level. That experience is an important foundation for improving the players’ technical ability, competitive mentality, discipline and self-confidence.

At the previous national competition, Denpasar City FC entered four age groups, KU-9, KU-10, KU-12 and KU-14, and all four brought home trophies. This achievement motivates the club to keep improving the quality of its development work and to give young players the chance to grow through wider competition.

After being forged at Bali regional and national level, the children now have the chance to sharpen their mentality and ability at international level. They will gain experience of facing players from other countries, so they can learn a lot, both in how they play and in how they conduct themselves in a match.

Putu Sayang Merdawa, Denpasar City FC management coordinator

He added that Denpasar City FC was founded about one year ago, with the vision and mission of developing football from an early age in Denpasar City. This development work is expected to produce a generation of footballers able to follow in the footsteps of senior players and compete at every level of championship.

In future, the players now in development are expected to move up to older age groups and have the chance to play in competitions such as the Piala Soeratin in its various age groups, the Provincial Sports Week (Pekan Olahraga Provinsi, Porprov) and other competitions.

Rp20 million in travel support

Meanwhile, the Deputy Mayor of Denpasar, I Kadek Agus Arya Wibawa, expressed his appreciation for the spirit of the young Denpasar City FC players and the opportunity they have earned to take part in the international football tournament.

In his view, taking part in SingaCup 2026 is a valuable opportunity for the children to develop their abilities, gain experience, and build their mentality and character as future football athletes of Denpasar City.

Agus Arya Wibawa told all the players to always look after their health, discipline, team unity and spirit throughout the matches. He hopes the players can show their best ability, uphold sportsmanship and protect the good name of Denpasar City and Bali.

In addition, before departing, the players are expected to pray at the merajan or holy place of their own families to ask for safety, a smooth journey and guidance during the tournament.

As a form of support for the development of early-age athletes, the Deputy Mayor of Denpasar also gave the Denpasar City FC team Rp20 million in travel support on the occasion, to help them take part in the international event.

These children are future athletes of Denpasar City, and we need to support them together. We hope this chance to take part in an international tournament can be a valuable experience that improves their ability and their competitive mentality. Stay healthy, uphold sportsmanship, and give your best for Denpasar City.

I Kadek Agus Arya Wibawa, Deputy Mayor of Denpasar

Through its participation in SingaCup 2026, Denpasar City FC is expected not only to achieve results, but also to further strengthen early-age football development in Denpasar City. The experience of playing abroad is expected to help the young players keep developing and, in time, contribute to the progress of football in Bali and Indonesia. (006)

At SingaCup 2026 we are sending two age groups, the under-8 (KU-8) and under-10 (KU-10). Each team is made up of the 12 best players from our selection. Our target is of course to win the title, but just as important is giving the children experience of playing at international level.

Putu Sayang Merdawa, Tuesday (27/10/2026)

He explained that before taking part in the international tournament, the Denpasar City FC players had played in various competitions at Bali regional and national level. That experience is an important foundation for improving the players’ technical ability, competitive mentality, discipline and self-confidence.

At the previous national competition, Denpasar City FC entered four age groups: KU-9, KU-10, KU-12 and KU-14. All four age groups brought home trophies.

In the future, the players now in development are expected to move up to older age groups and have the chance to play in competitions such as the Piala Soeratin in its various age groups, the Provincial Sports Week (Pekan Olahraga Provinsi, Porprov) and other competitions.
