MilkLife Strikers, Indonesia’s Girls U12 team, opened their Singa Cup 2026 campaign in Singapore with a 6-1 win over hosts Lion City Sailors.
SINGAPORE, HELOINDONESIA.COM – The opening of the international early-age football tournament Singa Cup 2026 was a stage for MilkLife Strikers, a team from Indonesia, to prove themselves.
Playing at The Rainforest Hub, West Coast, Singapore, on Sunday (1 November 2026), the squad coached by legendary coach Jacksen F Tiago ran riot and rolled over host representatives Lion City Sailors 6-1 in the Girls U12 category.
Young forward Ika Wonda, from SD Kristen Manahan Surakarta primary school, was the star of the pitch with an impressive hat-trick that tore apart the opposing defence.

Facing Lion City Sailors’ high-pressing start, MilkLife Strikers stayed calm. With cool possession and tight short passing, they broke the hosts’ rhythm.
The key moment came in the 3rd minute. Locita Waranggani broke through the opposing defence and opened the scoring. The early goal shattered Lion City Sailors’ concentration. It did not take long for MilkLife Strikers to roll over their opponents. In the 8th minute, Keyla Azzahra Putri doubled the lead with a sharp header, followed in the 9th minute by Nadia Shakila Azzahra coolly converting a penalty to make it 3-0.
In the 10th minute, striker Ika Wonda found the net twice within one minute to make it 5-0.
The 5-0 score held until half-time. In the second half, Lion City Sailors pulled one back through Hana Raiqa in the 23rd minute. But three minutes before the end, Ika Wonda completed her hat-trick and sealed a 6-1 win.
Head coach Jacksen F Tiago praised his players’ effectiveness and mental composure in the first match.
I told the children that even the smallest chance has to be made the most of. The opponents tried to press high, and from there we exploited the empty space in their back line. I am very proud they could overcome the nerves of a first match against a strong team.
Jacksen F Tiago, head coach
Jacksen also stressed the importance of the team togetherness built during the training camp. He said the players’ backgrounds in various regions were no obstacle to playing as one.
Forward Ika Wonda could not hide her happiness. “I am very happy we could win and that I scored a hat-trick. It is thanks to our hard training. Coach Jacksen told me a striker’s job is to score goals, and I am relieved I could do that job well,” Ika said.
Teddy Tjahjono, Program Director of the MilkLife Soccer Challenge from Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation, stressed that taking part in Singa Cup 2026 is an important benchmark for grassroots development.
The annual tournament, with 136 teams from 13 countries, is a proving ground for the MilkLife Strikers squad, the best players selected from the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All-Stars.
This step is to give the best players the chance to compete at a higher level, test themselves against opponents from various countries, and add to their playing time.

The positive result puts MilkLife Strikers level with Selangor FC Academy A at the top of Group A, both on 3 points. The top two teams in this group will go straight into the final.
In their next match, on Monday (2 November 2026), MilkLife Strikers are scheduled to test themselves against Nepal’s representative, Rato Bangala School, at the same venue.
