Indonesia’s U-12 girls’ football team, MilkLife Strikers, is competing at the international tournament Singa Cup 2026, taking place in Singapore from 1 to 3 November 2026.
Opening their campaign at The Rainforest Hub, West Coast, on Sunday (1 November 2026), MilkLife Strikers beat host representatives Lion City Sailors 6-1.

Ika Wonda, a forward from SD Kristen Manahan Surakarta primary school, shone with a hat-trick. Her three goals helped MilkLife Strikers secure their first three points in the Girls U-12 category.
The Indonesian squad also includes a player from Malang, Adelice Maureen Hanum F. The pupil of SDN Lowokwaru 3 primary school plays in midfield.
Under Jacksen F. Tiago, MilkLife Strikers played effectively from the start of the match. Facing Lion City Sailors’ high-pressing strategy, the players relied on short passes to control the game.
The strategy paid off immediately. Locita Waranggani opened the scoring in the third minute, followed by a goal from Keyla Azzahra Putri in the eighth minute.
Nadia Shakila Azzahra extended the lead with a penalty in the ninth minute. Ika Wonda then scored two goals in a row in the 10th and 11th minutes, putting MilkLife Strikers 5-0 up at half-time.
In the second half, Lion City Sailors pulled one back through a goal from Hana Raiqa in the 23rd minute. But Ika got her name on the scoresheet again near the end of the match to complete her hat-trick.
MilkLife Strikers coach Jacksen F. Tiago praised his players’ ability to use their chances and handle the opponents’ pressure.
I asked the children to make the most of even the smallest chance. The opposing team pressed high. From there we managed to exploit the space behind their back line.

He added that cohesion was one of the important factors in the win, especially as the players come from different regions and team backgrounds.
Meanwhile, Ika Wonda said she was proud to score three goals in the opening match. She said the result was the fruit of intensive preparation during the training camp.
I am happy we could win today. It is thanks to the hard work of all the players during the training camp. The coach also told me that a striker’s job is to score goals.

Teddy Tjahjono, representing Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation and Program Director of the MilkLife Soccer Challenge, said MilkLife Strikers’ participation in Singa Cup is part of an effort to develop girls’ football from an early age.
The squad is made up of players selected from the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All-Stars 2026/2027, who get the chance to test their abilities at international level.
Teddy said the experience of facing teams from various countries is important for improving the quality of play and adding to the players’ playing time.
Singa Cup 2026 has 136 teams from 13 countries. The early-age football tournament, held regularly in Singapore since 2011, is one of the international competitions for young players.
In the Girls U-12 category, four teams are in Group A, playing a round-robin from 1 to 3 November 2026. The top two teams will go through to the final, while the other two will play for third place.
The win over Lion City Sailors gives MilkLife Strikers three points and puts them in contention at the top of Group A with Selangor FC Academy A.
Next, MilkLife Strikers are scheduled to face Nepal’s representative, Rato Bangala School, on Monday (2 November 2026). A win in that match would further open up the Indonesian team’s chances of reaching the final.
