MilkLife Strikers, Indonesia’s Girls U12 team, opened their Singa Cup 2026 campaign in Singapore with a 6-1 win over hosts Lion City Sailors, with Ika Wonda scoring a hat-trick.
JAKARTA, Sportszone.id – MilkLife Strikers put on a brilliant display at Singa Cup 2026, the world’s biggest annual youth age-group tournament. Facing the hosts’ representatives, Lion City Sailors, Jacksen F. Tiago’s team won 6-1.

Playing at The Rainforest Hub, West Coast, Singapore, on Sunday, 1 November 2026, Ika Wonda was impressive. The forward from SD Kristen Manahan Surakarta scored three goals, a hat-trick.
The big win put MilkLife Strikers provisionally top of the group standings with 3 points. They are in a tight race with Selangor FC Academy A, who also have three points.
As is well known, Singa Cup is one of the annual tournaments held in Singapore since 2011. This year, Singa Cup featured 136 teams from 13 countries from various parts of the world.
This year, Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation and MilkLife sent MilkLife Strikers, made up of players selected from the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All-Stars 2025/2026, to take part in the Girls U12 category.
Singa Cup 2026 for the Girls U12 category is attended by four teams with a round-robin league system which will take place from 1 to 3 November 2026. The four teams are grouped into Group A with the top two teams in the standings advancing to the final. Meanwhile, the bottom two teams will fight for third place.
Teddy Tjahjono, representative of Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation and Program Director of MilkLife Soccer Challenge, said the positive result at Singa Cup on the first day is good news for the continued development of girls’ football. Teddy added that Singa Cup is a benchmark for the development work carried out over the past few years.

“This is part of our effort to keep developing girls’ football from grassroots level. In the context of Singa Cup, we are trying to give the best players from the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All-Stars 2026/2027 the chance to compete at a more competitive level.
This step will certainly enrich their experience and add to their playing time, because the players can test themselves directly against opponents from various countries. We also see this as an opportunity to measure the output of the development carried out through MilkLife Soccer Challenge. Today, we are happy that the players were able to play well and win,” said Teddy.
Meanwhile, MilkLife Strikers coach Jacksen F. Tiago felt one of the keys to his players’ win today was being effective in making the most of their chances. He also praised the mental strength of his players, who were not intimidated by one of Singapore’s strong teams.
I told the kids that no matter how small an opportunity they had, they had to be maximized. That’s what they did today. Earlier the opposing team had done high-pressing, from there we managed to exploit the emptiness of their back line. Not only that, I’m also happy that the players were able to overcome their nervousness on the first day. Moreover, we managed to win against a strong team like Lion City Sailors. For me, them being able to come here and get playing experience is very valuable.
