Perfect revenge! MilkLife Strikers won Singa Cup 2026 after defeating Selangor FC 2-1 in the final. Bantul striker Nadia Shakila scored the decisive goal
KORANBERNAS.ID, SINGAPORE – Indonesia’s pride, the MilkLife Strikers girls’ youth squad, have officially crowned themselves the new queens of the international football event Singa Cup 2026. Playing the Girls U-12 final at The Rainforest Hub, Singapore, on Tuesday (3 November 2026), coach Jacksen F. Tiago’s players won the title after beating Selangor FC Academy A by a tight 2-1.

This victory felt very sweet and was the perfect act of revenge for the narrow 0-1 defeat to the Malaysian representative in the preliminary match the day before.
This championship title makes the people of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) prouder. The reason is, the talented little striker from SD Muhammadiyah Karangploso Bantul, Nadia Shakila Azzahra, appeared as the deadlock breaker with her beautiful goal.
Since the first half whistle sounded, MilkLife Strikers appeared calmer, demonstrating a strategy of short passes. The deadlock was finally broken in the 9th minute when Nadia Shakila managed to take advantage of the shooting space outside the penalty box by firing a sharp volley into the bottom right corner of the Selangor goal.
Winning by one goal did not make Garuda Muda relax its attacks. Continuous pressure again paid off in the 20th minute through Adelice Maureen’s measured kick which the opposing goalkeeper failed to anticipate, thereby locking in a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Entering the second half, Selangor FC Academy A tried to get back up and managed to reduce the position with a goal in the 37th minute. However, thanks to the discipline of the defense, MilkLife Strikers managed to maintain a 2-1 lead until the final whistle sounded.
Jacksen F. Tiago’s Champion Mentality and Locita Waranggani’s MVP Title
MilkLife Strikers Head Coach, Jacksen F. Tiago, expressed his highest appreciation for the resilience and fighting mentality of his team which did not waver even though they suffered defeat in the group phase.

I applaud the players’ performance today. Yesterday’s defeat did not affect their mentality. It was proven that today they were able to stay focused and appear dominant. On the field they showed a strong winning mentality, while off the field their attitude was very good.
Jacksen F. Tiago, MilkLife Strikers coach
The MilkLife Strikers victory party became even more complete after attacking midfielder from Surabaya, Locita Waranggani, was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) Singa Cup 2026 in the Girls U-12 category for her vital contribution throughout the tournament.
MilkLife Soccer Challenge Program Director from Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation, Teddy Tjahjono, emphasized that the achievement of this international trophy is valid proof that the development of youth girls’ football in Indonesia is on the right track.
Congratulations to the players and coaches. This success is a positive achievement for the development of Indonesian women’s football. We will continue to implement sustainable development steps from the grassroots level such as the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All-Stars in order to create a golden generation for the future.
