MilkLife Strikers won the Singa Cup 2026 Girls U12 title in Singapore, beating Selangor FC Academy A 2-1 in the final a day after losing 0-1 to the same Malaysian side.

MALANG POST – MilkLife Strikers won the Singa Cup 2026 Girls U12 category after beating Selangor FC Academy A 2-1 in the final at The Rainforest Hub, Singapore, on Tuesday (3 November 2026). The win was also revenge after the Indonesian girls’ team lost 0-1 to the same opponents the day before.

MilkLife Strikers played with confidence, relying on a short-passing game from the start of the match. Despite tough resistance, Jacksen F. Tiago’s team took the lead in the 9th minute through a Nadia S. Azzahra volley that went right into the bottom right corner of the Selangor goal.

The lead made MilkLife Strikers even more confident. Wave after wave of pressure finally produced another goal in the 20th minute. This time Adelice Maureen beat the Selangor FC Academy A goalkeeper to put MilkLife Strikers 2-0 up at half-time.

In the second half, Selangor tried to fight back and increased the intensity of their attacks. The effort produced a goal in the 37th minute, cutting the deficit to 1-2.

However, MilkLife Strikers kept their lead until the end of the match. The result confirmed the Indonesian representatives as champions of the Singa Cup 2026 Girls U12 category.

MilkLife Strikers coach Jacksen F. Tiago praised the mentality of the players, who were able to bounce back after defeat in the previous match. According to him, his players showed positive development both in their play and in their attitude during the tournament.

I salute the players’ performance today. Yesterday’s defeat did not really affect their mentality. It was proven today that they stayed focused and dominated possession. Personally, I am satisfied with their performance throughout the tournament.

Jacksen F. Tiago, MilkLife Strikers coach

He also felt the players have a champion mentality and were able to show a positive attitude both on and off the pitch. The success is expected to inspire other girls in Indonesia to take up football.

As well as the team title, MilkLife Strikers also won an individual award through Locita Waranggani. The forward from Surabaya, East Java, was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Singa Cup 2026 Girls U12 category after scoring two goals during the tournament.

Locita said she was proud to be able to help the team win the title and also bring home an individual award. She said the success could not be separated from the support of her teammates, coaches and parents.

From the start I just wanted to give the best performance I could for the team. I’m happy I was finally able to help the team win and get the MVP trophy. After this, I will keep improving my ability by training harder.

MilkLife Soccer Challenge Program Director Teddy Tjahjono said the success is a positive achievement for the development of Indonesian girls’ football, especially in the youth age groups.

According to him, the experience of competing at international level is an important asset for the players to improve their ability and to motivate other girls to have the courage to take up football.

Congratulations to the players and coaches on their success. Hopefully this achievement will be an inspiration for other children in Indonesia. We will keep taking steps like this in the years to come as a form of sustainable development from an early age.

Teddy Tjahjono, MilkLife Soccer Challenge Program Director

He added that the development of Indonesian girls’ football in recent years, from grassroots level to the national team, shows that the development work under way is on a positive track.
