HARIAN DISWAY – MilkLife Strikers won the Singa Cup 2026 Girls U12 category after beating Selangor FC Academy A 2-1 in the final at The Rainforest Hub, Singapore, on Tuesday, 3 November 2026. The win was also revenge after they had earlier lost 0-1 to the Malaysian side.

MilkLife Strikers appeared calm by relying on a short passing game from the start of the match. Even though Selangor FC Academy A implemented a disciplined defense, the Indonesian team continued to look for gaps to dismantle the opponent’s defense.

These efforts bore fruit in the 9th minute. Nadia S. Azzahra managed to take advantage of the shooting space and fired a volley that aimed at the bottom right corner of Selangor FC Academy A’s goal. This advantage made MilkLife Strikers even more confident. The pressure returned to produce a goal in the 20th minute through Adelice Maureen’s kick which the Selangor goalkeeper failed to anticipate. MilkLife Strikers also closed the first half with a 2-0 lead.

Entering the second half, both teams launched attacks on each other. Selangor FC Academy A tried to catch up and managed to reduce the score with a goal in the 37th minute. However, until the match ended, MilkLife Strikers was able to maintain a 2-1 lead while ensuring the title.

MilkLife Strikers coach Jacksen F. Tiago appreciated the mentality of the players who were able to recover after defeat in the previous match. According to him, the players remained focused and showed dominance in possession of the ball until the final match.

I applaud the players’ performance today. Yesterday’s defeat did not really affect their mentality. It was proven that today they were able to stay focused and appear dominant in possession of the ball. Personally, I was satisfied with what they displayed throughout the tournament. On the field they were able to show a strong winning mentality even though they lost. Then off the field, their attitude was good and they were able to mix with each other. I congratulate the players, I hope this success will be an inspiration for other children in Indonesia.

Apart from team success, MilkLife Strikers also recorded individual achievements. Locita Waranggani won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) Singa Cup 2026 award in the Girls U12 category. The striker from Surabaya, East Java, scored two goals throughout the tournament and became an important player in the team’s journey to the title.

Locita admitted that she was grateful to be able to help the team win the title and take home the MVP award. She is determined to continue improving her skills through practice so she can perform better the next time.

From the start, I just wanted to give the best possible performance for the team. That’s why I’m really happy that I was finally able to help the team win and win the MVP trophy. All of this is also thanks to the support of my friends on the team and the entire coaching staff too. Then to my parents at home who have supported me in playing football so far. After this, I will continue to try to improve my game by practicing more actively to hone my skills.

MilkLife Soccer Challenge Program Director Teddy Tjahjono assesses that MilkLife Strikers’ success in becoming champions of Singa Cup 2026 is a positive achievement for the development of Indonesian women’s football. It is hoped that the experience of competing at international level will be a valuable asset and inspiration for other girls to pursue football.
