After a big win over Rato Bangala, MilkLife Strikers faced Selangor FC Academy A in the second match. However, heavy rain that hit The Rainforest Hub caused the match schedule to be delayed.

After the weather conditions improved, the two teams finally competed. MilkLife Strikers had to concede defeat to the Malaysian representative with a narrow score of 0-1.

Even though they lost, the results of other matches kept MilkLife Strikers at the top of Group A. They collected six points with a goal difference of +17.

Evaluation Ahead of the Title Contest

MilkLife Strikers Assistant Coach, Sasi Kirana, appreciated the efforts of the players who she considered had shown their best abilities throughout the two matches on the second day. Even though she managed to win big over Rato Bangala, she believes there are still a number of things that need to be improved after her team lost to Selangor FC Academy A.

In the first match against Nepal, the players still showed high enthusiasm even though they knew that the team they were facing had a level of play that was slightly below ours. I really appreciate their struggle, they maximized every opportunity they had. In the second match we didn’t manage to win. But the players still appeared persistent. Apart from that, both teams also performed well by exchanging attacks.

Sasi said that players’ composure when they are behind is one of the aspects that will be evaluated before the final. However, she still believes the players will be able to perform with high motivation in the deciding match.

For tomorrow’s final, there are several things that will be evaluated, especially how to be calmer even when you are behind. For the rest, I believe the players will continue to appear full of motivation.
