Jakarta, IDN Times – MilkLife Strikers made Indonesia proud by emerging as champions of the Singa Cup 2026 Girls U-12 category. They claimed the title by beating Malaysia’s representatives, Selangor FC Academy A, 2-1 in the final on Tuesday (3 November 2026).
The win at The Rainforest Hub, Singapore, was also sweet revenge for Jacksen F. Tiago’s players. The day before the final, MilkLife Strikers had suffered a narrow 0-1 defeat to the same team in the group stage.

1. Calm Play and a Two-Goal Lead in the First Half
The defeat in the previous meeting was a valuable lesson. In the final, the MilkLife Strikers players were much calmer and more confident, relying on a neat short-passing game. They kept picking apart the disciplined Selangor FC Academy A back line from the start of the match. That tireless effort finally paid off in the 9th minute with an accurate volley from Nadia S. Azzahra into the right corner of the opponents’ goal. Eleven minutes later, wave after wave of pressure from the Indonesian side produced a second goal thanks to a deadly finish from Adelice Maureen. In the second half, Selangor posed a real threat by pulling a goal back three minutes before the end. However, the steely mentality of Ika Wonda and her teammates kept the 2-1 lead until the referee blew the final whistle.
2. Sky-High Praise from Jacksen F
Tiago. Jacksen expressed his pride in the champion mentality shown by his players. He saluted the fact that the painful defeat the day before did not break his squad’s fighting spirit in the final. “It was proven today that they could stay focused and dominate possession. On the pitch they could show a strong champion mentality even after losing,” Jacksen said after the match.
3. Surabaya Player Takes the MVP Award
MilkLife Strikers’ joy was made complete by the individual achievement of their key forward, Locita Waranggani. The player from Surabaya, East Java, was named the best player of the tournament in the Girls U-12 category. “I’m so happy I was finally able to help the team win and get the MVP trophy, all thanks to the support of my teammates,” said Locita. MilkLife Soccer Challenge Program Director Teddy Tjahjono sees the win as a positive sign for the future of national girls’ football. He promised to keep continuing sustainable youth development. “Hopefully what we have achieved here will be an inspiration for other children in Indonesia. We will keep taking steps like this in the years to come as a form of sustainable development from an early age. We can see for ourselves how Indonesian girls’ football has developed in recent years, from grassroots level to the national team. That means what has been done so far is indeed moving on the right track,” said Teddy.
