MilkLife Strikers, Indonesia’s Girls U12 team, opened their Singa Cup 2026 campaign in Singapore with a 6-1 win over hosts Lion City Sailors.
Indonesia’s representatives, MilkLife Strikers, began the Group A competition in the Girls U-12 category of Singa Cup 2026 with a 6-1 win over Lion City Sailors at The Rainforest Hub, West Coast, Singapore, on Sunday, 1 November 2026. The result was decided by a sharp display from Ika Wonda, who scored three goals, as reported by Medcom.
Besides Ika’s hat-trick, the other three goals were scored by Locita Waranggani, Keyla Azzahra Putri and Nadia Shakila Azzahra. Lion City Sailors could only reply with one goal, through Hana Raiqa in the second half.
Jacksen F. Tiago’s team faced pressure from the hosts’ high-pressing strategy. But MilkLife Strikers controlled the game with combinations of short passes and exploited gaps in the opposing defence.

Locita opened the scoring in the third minute after breaking through the Lion City Sailors defence. Five minutes later, Keyla extended the lead with a header, then Nadia scored the third goal from the penalty spot in the ninth minute.
Ika then scored two goals within one minute, so MilkLife Strikers closed the first half 5-0 up. In the 23rd minute, in the second half, Hana Raiqa pulled one back before Ika completed her hat-trick near the end of the match.
Coach Jacksen F. Tiago said effective finishing was one of the important factors in his team’s win. He also praised the players’ ability to cope with the pressure in the opening match of the international tournament.
I told the children that even the smallest chance has to be made the most of. That is what they did today. The opposing team pressed high, and from there we managed to exploit the space behind their back line.

Jacksen said the experience of facing Lion City Sailors was a valuable opportunity for the young players to develop their abilities. He also highlighted the cohesion of the squad, whose players come from various regions and different team backgrounds.
Preparation before leaving for Singapore also focused on building chemistry between the players. Jacksen said the process was starting to show in the players’ coordination during the opening match.
Before leaving for here, the players went through intensive preparation. From the start, we focused on building the players’ chemistry on the pitch. As a result, today I saw them all blend in and play as a unit.

Ika Wonda also expressed her delight after scoring three goals in the match. The player from SD Kristen Manahan Surakarta primary school said the win was the result of the hard work of the whole team during the training camp.
Of course I am happy we could win today. It is thanks to the hard work of all the players, who trained diligently throughout the training camp. Our training was quite intensive before we got here.

She also said her hat-trick owed much to the coach’s guidance on a forward’s responsibility. That instruction guided Ika in the match against the Singapore representatives.
Today I also scored a hat-trick. That was in line with Coach Jacksen’s instruction to me that a striker’s job is to score goals. I am happy I could do my job well today.
