The win felt special because it was revenge for MilkLife Strikers after losing 0-1 to the same team the day before.

This time, the Indonesian girls’ squad were calmer and were able to hold their lead until the end of the match.

MilkLife Strikers began the match relying on a short-passing game. Although Selangor FC Academy A defended with discipline, the MilkLife Strikers players kept looking for gaps to break through the opposing defence.

The effort paid off in the 9th minute. Nadia S. Azzahra made use of the space to shoot, firing a volley into the bottom right corner of the Selangor goal.

After winning, MilkLife Strikers did not relax the tempo of the game. The pressure returned to produce a goal in the 20th minute through Adelice Maureen’s kick which the Selangor FC Academy A goalkeeper failed to anticipate. MilkLife Strikers closed the first half with a 2-0 lead.

Revenge for the Defeat by Selangor FC Academy A

In the second half, the two teams kept trading attacks. Selangor FC Academy A tried to close the gap and pulled a goal back in the 37th minute.

However, MilkLife Strikers held on to their 2-1 lead until the final whistle, securing the Singa Cup 2026 Girls U12 title.

MilkLife Strikers coach Jacksen F. Tiago praised the players’ response after losing to Selangor in the previous match. According to him, the players were able to stay focused and showed a strong mentality to claim the title.

I salute the players’ performance today. Yesterday’s defeat did not really affect their mentality. It was proven today that they could stay focused and dominate possession. Personally, I am satisfied with what they showed throughout the tournament. On the pitch they could show a strong champion mentality even after losing. And off the pitch, their attitude is good and they get along well with each other. I congratulate the players, and I hope this success will be an inspiration for other children in Indonesia.

Locita Waranggani Wins MVP Award

Apart from team success, MilkLife Strikers also recorded individual achievements through Locita Waranggani who won the Singa Cup 2026 Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in the Girls U12 category.

The forward from Surabaya, East Java, scored two goals during the tournament and was one of the key players in MilkLife Strikers’ journey to the title.

Locita said she was grateful to be able to help the team win the title and bring home the MVP award.

She is determined to continue improving her abilities through practice so she can perform better the next time.

From the start I just wanted to give the best performance I could for the team. That’s why I’m so happy that I was finally able to help the team win and get the MVP trophy. All of this is also thanks to the support of my friends on the team and the entire coaching staff too. Then to my parents at home who have supported me in playing football so far. After this, I will continue to try to improve my game by practicing more actively to hone my skills.
