Since the start of the match, MilkLife Strikers relied on a short passing game to dismantle the opponent’s defense. Even though Selangor FC Academy A appeared disciplined, pressure continued to be applied.

The opening goal was finally scored in the ninth minute. Nadia S. Azzahra fired a volley that went into the bottom right corner of the goal and gave MilkLife Strikers a 1-0 lead.

These advantages further strengthen the players’ self-confidence. In the 20th minute, Adelice Maureen doubled the score with a kick that the Selangor goalkeeper failed to anticipate. MilkLife Strikers also closed the first half with a 2-0 lead.

Entering the second half, the match became more open. Selangor tried to catch up and managed to reduce the score in the 37th minute. However, until the final whistle sounded, MilkLife Strikers was able to maintain a 2-1 lead while ensuring the championship trophy.

MilkLife Strikers coach, Jacksen F. Tiago, appreciated the mentality of the players who were able to recover after defeat in the previous match. According to him, his team remained focused and were able to dominate possession of the ball in the final.

I applaud the players’ performance. Yesterday’s defeat did not really affect their mentality. Today they remained focused and showed a winning mentality. I am also satisfied with their attitude, both on and off the field.

MilkLife Strikers’ achievements are even more complete with Locita Waranggani’s success in winning the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in the Girls U12 category. The striker from Surabaya, East Java, scored two goals throughout the tournament and played an important role in the team’s journey to the championship ladder.

Locita admitted that she was proud to be able to bring home two achievements at once. She dedicates this success to her teammates, coaching staff and parents who have supported her efforts in football.

From the start I just wanted to give the best performance for the team. I’m very happy to finally be able to help the team win and get the MVP trophy. After this I will continue to train to improve my skills.
