MilkLife Strikers, Indonesia’s Girls U12 team, opened their Singa Cup 2026 campaign in Singapore with a 6-1 win over hosts Lion City Sailors.

KOMPAS.com – Jacksen F Tiago’s players made a sweet start at Singa Cup 2026.

MilkLife Strikers, coached by Persebaya legend Jacksen F Tiago, won 6-1 against host representatives Lion City Sailors in a Girls U12 match at The Rainforest Hub, West Coast, Singapore, on Sunday (1 November 2026).

Singa Cup is an annual early-age tournament held in Singapore since 2011 and this year has 136 teams from 13 countries. At the 2026 edition, Indonesia is represented by MilkLife Strikers in the Girls U12 category.

MilkLife Strikers forward Ika Wonda, from SD Kristen Manahan Surakarta primary school, was the star of the win over Lion City Sailors after scoring three goals, a hat-trick.

MilkLife Strikers, a team selected from the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All-Stars 2025-2026 programme, faced pressure from the start of the match as Lion City Sailors applied a pressing game, or high pressing.

Despite the pressure, Jacksen F Tiago’s squad kept calm and relied on combinations of short passes to control the match.

The effort paid off when Locita Waranggani got past the Lion City Sailors defenders and gave MilkLife Strikers the lead in the third minute.

The Indonesian representatives then had more freedom to develop their game. They needed only five minutes to double their lead through a header from Keyla Azzahra Putri (8’).

The Indonesian team’s lead grew after Nadia Shakila Azzahra successfully took a penalty in the ninth minute.

Ika Wonda then scored two more goals within one minute. The Indonesian representatives closed the first half with a convincing 5-0 lead.

In the second half, MilkLife Strikers tried to continue their dominance. But Lion City Sailors pulled a goal back through Hana Raiqa in the 23rd minute.

Ika then got her name on the scoresheet again near the end of the match to complete her hat-trick and seal MilkLife Strikers’ 6-1 win.

Jacksen F Tiago said his players’ ability to make the most of their chances was one of the main factors behind the big win over Lion City Sailors.

I told the children that even the smallest chance has to be made the most of. That is what they did today.

The opposing team pressed high, and from there we managed to exploit the space behind their back line. Not only that, I am also happy the players could overcome their nerves on the first day.
