Indonesian side MilkLife Kickers took hard lessons on day one of Singa Cup 2026, thrashing Australia 13-0 then falling 0-1 to Lion City Sailors.
Liputan6.com, Jakarta – MilkLife Kickers began Singa Cup 2026 with mixed results. In two matches on Thursday (5 November 2026) at The Arena, Woodleigh, Singapore, Timo Scheunemann’s team recorded one win and one defeat.
MilkLife Kickers looked impressive against Australia’s South Coast Baptist College, winning 13-0. In the second match they had to concede defeat to hosts Lion City Sailors by a narrow 0-1.

Hat-tricks in the 13-0 win
In the first match MilkLife Kickers dominated from the start. Albianca Raula and Garneta F. Imelda were the stars after each scoring a hat-trick.
Garneta scored in the 10th, 12th and 31st minutes; Albianca in the 14th, 15th and 28th; Anisa in the 18th and 46th. The other goals came from Askara S. Fahilah (37′), Rere Z. Farza (41′), Ananda N. D. Berlian (43′), Riyanti S. Suryani (44′) and Giada Soebianto (45′).
That big win was positive capital before the second match against Lion City Sailors.
Narrow loss to Lion City Sailors
Against the hosts the contest was tighter. Lion City Sailors’ defensive discipline made it hard for MilkLife Kickers to build play. The home side broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute through Madeliene, who finished a cross from the left.
That was the only goal of the match. MilkLife Kickers finished 0-1 despite trying to equalise.

Coach Timo Scheunemann still praised his team’s progress, especially adapting to the 11-versus-11 format. At MilkLife Soccer Challenge the players are used to 7-a-side in the regional phase and 9-a-side at All-Stars.
The players also succeeded in carrying out the instructions I gave, namely building attacks through a combination of passes.

Another thing that I have to appreciate is that they compete against opponents who are two years older than them. So, this is good for the players’ mental training.

Improvements for the next matches
Player Janeeta Alodya, known as Anet, said several aspects still need work after two matches on day one. She found Lion City Sailors well organised in defence and attack.
Actually, our game was good today. But there are several things that still need to be improved. Today was quite challenging, especially the second match against the home team, Lion City Sailors. They were good opponents.

She added that communication between the lines is a focus so the team can be more cohesive next time.
MilkLife Soccer Challenge Program Director and Djarum Foundation Bakti Olahraga representative Teddy Tjahjono valued the international experience the Kickers gained.
The goal is simple, we want to ensure that this level of development continues at every age group level. Today, the players gained valuable experience by facing teams from Australia and Singapore.

Singa Cup is an international youth football tournament held in Singapore since 2011. In 2026, 136 teams from 13 countries took part.
Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation and MilkLife sent MilkLife Kickers in Girls U14, selected from MilkLife Soccer Challenge All-Stars 2025/2026.
Girls U14 uses a single round-robin on 5–7 November 2026. MilkLife Kickers are in Group A with Lion City Sailors (Singapore), Fremantle City FC (Australia), BMW (Singapore) and South Coast Baptist College (Australia).
