SINGAPORE, Jatengnews.id – MilkLife Strikers began their Singa Cup 2026 campaign with a brilliant result. The team from Indonesia beat host representatives Lion City Sailors 6-1 at The Rainforest Hub, West Coast, Singapore, on Sunday (1 November 2026).
Ika Wonda, a forward from SD Kristen Manahan Surakarta primary school, was the star of the win with three goals, a hat-trick. The other three goals came from Locita Waranggani, Keyla Azzahra Putri and Nadia Shakila Azzahra.
MilkLife Strikers showed effective play straight away despite facing high pressure from Lion City Sailors. Relying on short passes, Jacksen F. Tiago’s team controlled the match.

Locita opened the scoring in the third minute. Five minutes later, Keyla doubled the score with a header. Nadia extended the lead from the penalty spot in the ninth minute, before Ika scored two goals in the 10th minute.
In the second half, Lion City Sailors pulled one back through Hana Raiqa in the 23rd minute. But Ika sealed MilkLife Strikers’ win with her third goal three minutes before the end of the match.
MilkLife Strikers coach Jacksen F. Tiago praised the players’ effectiveness in making the most of their chances and their mental strength against the home team.
Even the smallest chance has to be made the most of. When the opponents pressed high, we managed to exploit the empty space in their back line. I am also happy the players could overcome their nerves in the first match.

He also said team cohesion was one of the important factors behind the win. He said the players had built chemistry even though they come from different team backgrounds.
Ika Wonda shared the joy. She said her hat-trick was the result of hard work during the training camp and of carrying out the coach’s instructions.
I am happy we could win and that I scored a hat-trick. It is thanks to the hard work of all the players during the training camp. Coach Jacksen also told me that a striker’s job is to score goals.
