MilkLife Strikers, Indonesia’s Girls U12 team, opened their Singa Cup 2026 campaign in Singapore with a 6-1 win over hosts Lion City Sailors.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – MilkLife Strikers began their campaign at the international early-age football tournament Singa Cup 2026 with a brilliant result. The Indonesian girls’ U-12 team beat host representatives Lion City Sailors 6-1 at The Rainforest Hub, West Coast, Singapore, on Sunday (1 November 2026).

MilkLife Strikers forward Ika Wonda was the star of the win after scoring a hat-trick. The player from SD Kristen Manahan Surakarta primary school was sharp and a serious threat to the opposing defence throughout the match.

Besides Ika, MilkLife Strikers’ win was also decided by goals from Locita Waranggani, Keyla Azzahra Putri and Nadia Shakila Azzahra.

The positive result is valuable capital for MilkLife Strikers as they compete in Group A of the Girls U-12 category. They now have three points, the same as Selangor FC Academy A, who also started the tournament with a win.

Jacksen F. Tiago Praises His Players’ Effectiveness

MilkLife Strikers coach Jacksen F. Tiago praised his players, who were able to turn their chances into goals.

Jacksen said effectiveness in using chances was one of the important factors behind the big win. He also said the players were able to cope with the pressure and nerves that usually come with the first match of an international tournament.

I told the children that even the smallest chance has to be made the most of. That is what they did today.

He explained that the high pressure applied by Lion City Sailors actually gave MilkLife Strikers the chance to exploit the empty space in the opposing defence.

Jacksen also praised the players’ courage in facing one of Singapore’s strong teams.

For the coach, the chance to play in an international competition gives the young players valuable experience, regardless of the result.

Beyond the technical side, Jacksen highlighted the team’s cohesion, which he said had developed well after intensive preparation before leaving for Singapore.

He said the players, who come from various regions and different team backgrounds, had built chemistry and showed solid teamwork on the pitch.
