After thrashing Australia 13-0, MilkLife Kickers learned hard lessons in a 0-1 loss to Lion City Sailors at Singa Cup 2026.
Jakarta, IDN Times – The MilkLife Kickers girls’ team began day one of Singa Cup 2026 Girls U14 on Thursday (5 November 2026) with a convincing win and a valuable lesson.
At The Arena, Woodleigh, Singapore, they thrashed Australia’s South Coast Baptist College 13-0, then lost narrowly to hosts Lion City Sailors.

Goal feast: Albianca and Garneta hat-tricks
Against Australia, MilkLife Kickers attacked relentlessly and won 13-0. Albianca Raula and Garneta F. Imelda each scored hat-tricks. Anisa T. Sholica added a brace. The other five goals came from Askara S. Fahilah, Rere Z. Farza, Ananda N. D. Berlian, Riyanti S. Suryani and Giada Soebianto.
That sharpness did not return against Lion City Sailors’ tight defence. Madeliene’s finish in the 23rd minute won it for the hosts.
Quick adaptation to 11-a-side
Despite the second-match loss, coach Timo Scheunemann praised how quickly the players adapted from 7-a-side and 9-a-side to 11-a-side on a full pitch.
The players also succeeded in carrying out the instructions I gave, namely building attacks through a combination of passes.
Timo Scheunemann, MilkLife Kickers coach
Another thing that I have to appreciate is that they compete against opponents who are two years older than them. So, this is good for the players’ mental training.

Lessons for the next matches
Janeeta Alodya said the defeat by the Singapore side gave the team plenty to evaluate, with the opponents well organised in defence and attack.
For the next match, we will improve communication between lines so we can increase cohesiveness.
Janeeta Alodya (Anet), MilkLife Kickers player
Program Director Teddy Tjahjono stressed that competing abroad is the main goal of the grassroots pathway, keeping development consistent at every age group.
Just like what we did yesterday with MilkLife Strikers in the U12 category, MilkLife Kickers’s participation is also a form of our efforts to provide maximum opportunities to the best players from MilkLife Soccer Challenge All-Stars. The goal is simple, we want to ensure that this level of development continues at every age group level. Today, the players gained valuable experience by facing teams from Australia and Singapore. Seeing their performance today, I am optimistic that the players will continue to develop in a better direction.
Teddy Tjahjono, MilkLife Soccer Challenge Program Director
