The KU-8 and KU-10 teams are aiming for the best results on the international stage.
Denpasar, KabarBaliSatu – Denpasar City FC (Football Club), a football club from Denpasar City, is getting ready to compete in the international early-age football event SingaCup 2026, which will take place in Singapore on 30 and 31 October. Before leaving for Singapore, the players and management met the Deputy Mayor of Denpasar, I Kadek Agus Arya Wibawa, and asked for his blessing.

This time Denpasar City FC is bringing two teams, the under-8 age group (KU-8) and the under-10 age group (KU-10), to compete and to gain experience on the international stage.
Encouragement also came from the Denpasar City Government. As real support for the development of early-age athletes, Deputy Mayor I Kadek Agus Arya Wibawa handed Rp20 million in travel support to the Denpasar City FC team to help them take part in the tournament.
These children are the future athletes of Denpasar City, and we all need to support them together. We hope this chance to take part in an international tournament will be a valuable experience that improves their ability and their competitive mentality. Stay healthy, uphold sportsmanship, and give your best for Denpasar City.
Deputy Mayor Arya Wibawa, as he sent off the squad
Arya Wibawa praised the spirit of the young Denpasar City FC players and the golden opportunity they have earned. In his view, SingaCup 2026 is a valuable moment to develop their abilities, build experience, and shape the mentality and character of Denpasar City’s future athletes.
He also told all the players to always look after their health, discipline, team unity and competitive spirit. He hopes the players will perform at their best, uphold sportsmanship and carry the good name of Denpasar City and Bali on the international stage. Before departure, the players were also asked to pray at their family temple (merajan) or family shrine to ask for safety, a smooth journey and guidance.
Strict selection
Meanwhile, Denpasar City FC Management Coordinator Putu Sayang Merdawa explained that taking part in SingaCup 2026 is part of the club’s continuous process of developing early-age players. The two teams being sent were formed through strict selection and intensive development based on the coaching team’s training scheme.
At SingaCup 2026 we are sending two age groups, the under-8 (KU-8) and under-10 (KU-10). Each team is made up of the 12 best players from our selection. Our target is of course to win the title, but just as important is giving the children experience of playing at international level.

Before stepping onto the international stage, the Denpasar City FC players were forged in various competitions at Bali regional and national level. That experience is a crucial foundation for building the children’s technical ability, competitive mentality, discipline and self-confidence.
Denpasar City FC’s record is impressive. At the previous national competition, the club entered four age groups, KU-9, KU-10, KU-12 and KU-14, and all of them took home the champions’ trophy. This achievement fuels the club’s motivation to keep raising the quality of its development work and to open up chances for young players to grow through wider competition.
After being forged at Bali regional and national level, the children now have the chance to sharpen their mentality and ability at international level. They will gain experience of facing players from other countries, so they can learn a lot, both in how they play and in how they conduct themselves in a match.

Although it was founded only about a year ago, Denpasar City FC has a strong vision and mission to develop football from an early age in Denpasar City. This step-by-step development is expected to produce a generation of tough footballers ready to follow in the footsteps of senior players at every level of championship.
In the future, the club’s players are projected to break into older age groups, compete in official competitions such as the Piala Soeratin in its various age groups, and represent the region at the Provincial Sports Week (Pekan Olahraga Provinsi, Porprov) and other prestigious events.
Through its participation in SingaCup 2026, Denpasar City FC is expected not only to chase results and trophies, but also to further strengthen the foundation of early-age football development in Denpasar City. The valuable experience of playing abroad will become the young players’ main asset to keep growing and to contribute to the progress of football in Bali and Indonesia in the future. (kbs)
