The under-10 (U10) team of Baysavanh FC, which earned its place by winning an international tournament in Chiang Mai, Thailand, is heading to Singapore for Singa Cup 2026 with the aim of winning the title.
VIENTIANE, 29 October 2026 – The young under-10 (U10) youth team of Baysavanh FC is preparing to travel to Singapore to take part in the international youth football tournament SingaCup 2026, or Singa Cup 2026, from 31 October to 7 November 2026. A total of 36 teams have registered to compete in the event.

On 27 October, at the Baysavanh FC restaurant and artificial-turf football pitch in Ban Khamsavath, Xaysetha District, Vientiane Capital, Mr Bounmy Liemxayachak, president of Baysavanh FC, vice-president of the Vientiane Capital Football Federation and president of the Lao National Football Federation for the Visually Impaired, said that the young Baysavanh FC players had earlier won the title at an international football tournament in Chiang Mai province, Thailand, and with it the right to take part in Singa Cup 2026.
To make sure the team can win the title as targeted at this tournament, the club has made its training more demanding, preparing the players physically and technically for a busy match schedule, as the team has a quota of only 12 players. Besides fitness training and finishing, the club also puts importance on the players’ nutrition and health so that the youngsters are ready to compete. The team is scheduled to travel to Singapore on 30 October 2026.

Taking part this time is believed to be not only an opportunity for young Lao players to test their ability against teams from abroad, but also an important lesson in gaining experience and in developing Lao youth football. We take this opportunity to invite Lao football fans to send their encouragement to the young Baysavanh players at Singa Cup 2026, and wish everyone good experience and the chance to show their full ability to reach their goal.
No pressure on the youngsters
The club’s head coach, Mr Khonsavanh Sitthithai, said that although the team has set high hopes for this tournament, it will not put pressure on the youngsters. The focus is on developing goal-scoring skills, physical readiness and understanding of the modern game.
