Jacksen made the remarks at a press conference after announcing the squads at the closing of the MLSC All-Stars 2026 tournament at Supersoccer Arena, Kudus, Central Java, on Sunday.

The U12 squad has 16 players and the U14 squad has 18. They come from the participating MLSC All-Stars 2026 teams: All-Stars Semarang, Tangerang, Yogyakarta, Bandung, Solo, Jakarta, Surabaya, Bekasi, Kudus, Malang, Samarinda and Banjarmasin.

Jacksen stressed that the talent-scouting process used to pick the players still takes long-term aspects into account. The players’ potential, he continued, can be measured in part by their ability to make decisions under pressure in a match.

He cited the example of All-Stars Kudus player Sabrina Ristiyana, who was chosen as best player of MLSC All-Stars 2026. Jacksen explained that although she did not score in the final, she was dominant in the game.

Others might see that she didn’t score or anything, but she was very dominant and her error rate throughout the tournament was minimal.

Sabrina also carried out the role of final penalty taker in the final’s shoot-out, taking her team past Jakarta, which completed her performance over the tournament.
