Kudus – All-Stars Kudus once again showed their dominance at the MilkLife Soccer Challenge (MLSC) All-Stars 2026. Playing at Supersoccer Arena in Kudus, Central Java, the hosts defended their title after beating All-Stars Jakarta in a penalty shoot-out.

The final was tight from the opening minutes. The two sides drew 0-0 through normal time. All-Stars Kudus finally secured a 4-3 win on penalties and lifted the trophy again.

Meanwhile, All-Stars Surabaya finished third, beating All-Stars Yogyakarta 1-0 through a second-half goal from Agnia Nurul Fadhila Rohman.

All-Stars Kudus defend their title

The MilkLife Soccer Challenge All-Stars 2026 ran from 23 to 28 June at Supersoccer Arena, Kudus. The tournament was a proving ground for young girls’ football talent from a range of cities.

All-Stars Kudus were consistent from the group stage through to the final, where they met stiff resistance from All-Stars Jakarta. The match was open, but both sides struggled to score. Tight defending meant the chances that did come went begging.

A tense final, decided on penalties

From kick-off, both teams played aggressively, taking turns to build attacks from midfield and trying to apply pressure with quick counter-attacks.

Kudus’s best chance came in the ninth minute from a free kick by Renanthera Aluna Addya Putri, but Jakarta goalkeeper Erza Khalifa Sakhi was able to save it. Jakarta also had a chance from a free kick by Albianca Raula, which sailed over the bar.

In the second half the intensity rose. Jakarta tried a direct shot from outside the box, and Kudus responded with high pressing and quick attacks. Late on, a corner from Rere Zenita Farza could not break down Jakarta’s defence, and 0-0 stood at the end of normal time.

In the shoot-out, Kudus goalkeeper Queisha Sava Azzalfa was one of the keys to victory, saving two of the opposition’s kicks to help Kudus keep their title.

Queisha, the hero for Kudus

Queisha said she had prepared for the possibility of a shoot-out, which had been part of training ahead of the final.

The match was heated and went to penalties. But we were focused and worked hard, and in the end we became champions.

All-Stars Kudus head coach Yayat Hidayat said his team’s success came from the players’ fighting spirit, adding that preparing through the training centre had strengthened team cohesion. He said the MilkLife Soccer Challenge is an important platform for finding young talent in Indonesian girls’ football, and hoped the tournament would continue because of its positive impact on grassroots development.

Jakarta proud despite final defeat

All-Stars Jakarta head coach Arifin still praised his players’ efforts, saying the penalty result does not erase the quality they showed throughout the tournament. He admitted the team had not prepared a specific penalty session; some players were nervous when the takers were chosen, and some even cried.

Honestly we had no preparation at all for penalties. Even when we were choosing the takers, none of our players were ready, some even cried. But with the result, I am very proud of my team.

Surabaya take third place

All-Stars Surabaya dominated from the first half of the third-place match, controlling midfield and pressing the Yogyakarta defence. The winning goal came in the 23rd minute, when Agnia Nurul Fadhila Rohman latched on to a long ball in front of goal. Yogyakarta tried to respond down the flanks but could not change the scoreline. Surabaya head coach Sai Dong said the win showed his players’ strong mentality, noting they had bounced back after missing out on the final in the semi-finals.

Erick Thohir applauds girls’ football development

PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir praised the staging of the MilkLife Soccer Challenge, calling it an important part of developing girls’ football in Indonesia. In his view, competitions like the MLSC are more than tournaments; they show collaboration between PSSI, the private sector, schools, communities, parents and other stakeholders. He stressed that PSSI has prepared a 10-year blueprint towards the 2035 Women’s World Cup, so grassroots development has to run consistently and involve many parties.

MLSC to add new cities

MLSC Program Director Teddy Tjahjono said the quality of participants is becoming more even this year, with more competitive matches from the group stage to the final. Players showed improvement in technique, mentality and quality of play, and support from parents, schools and stakeholders is growing.

Next season the MilkLife Soccer Challenge will widen its reach with three new regions: Jayapura, Garut, and Jakarta, split into two regions, East Jakarta and North Jakarta. Teddy said the expansion is an important step in screening more girls’ football talent from different areas.

34 best players sent to SingaCup 2026

The MLSC All-Stars 2026 does not stop at the national level. The 34 best players identified by the talent-scouting team will be sent to SingaCup 2026, an international tournament running from 31 October to 7 November. The players will be split into two teams, MilkLife Strikers Girls U-12 and MilkLife Kickers Girls U-14.

Teddy explained that the SingaCup experience is expected to accelerate the players’ development: they will gain international exposure, face opponents from other countries and learn to cope with higher competitive pressure. He said the step is part of regenerating Indonesia’s women’s national team for the future.

Jacksen F. Tiago on football intelligence

MLSC Head Coach Jacksen F. Tiago said talent scouting looks beyond individual ability: the coaching staff also assess understanding of the game, tactical adaptation, decision-making and on-field intelligence. According to Jacksen, some players already showed maturity beyond their age and played with confidence and an understanding of the flow of the match, even though they are still in primary school.

We are looking for players with potential in football intelligence. They must be able to adapt quickly to changes in the pattern of play, play effectively, be able to control the tempo of the game and be dynamic.

Jacksen F. Tiago

He is optimistic the selected players can form a competitive team able to compete at the international level.

MilkLife reaffirms its commitment to a golden generation

Business Unit Head Dairy at PT Global Dairi Alami, Didiet Fadriana Abdulkadir, praised the spirit of all participants and said players’ technique, mentality and sportsmanship keep improving. According to Didiet, the MilkLife Soccer Challenge is part of a broader mission to find girls’ football talent from different regions, and MilkLife is committed to supporting Indonesia’s Golden Generation 2045 through sports development and proper nutritional support. He told the players to keep dreaming and to take the #BeraniCetakGol (#DareToScore) spirit wherever they go.

Selected players ready for Singapore

Adiba Sanas Primayuga, captain of All-Stars Samarinda and one of the U-12 players picked for SingaCup 2026, said she was proud to have the chance to play at the international level. She had not expected to be on the list, and although it was her first MilkLife Soccer Challenge, she is optimistic she can give her best in Singapore.

I didn’t know I could be selected. But I’m certainly happy, a mix of feelings, I didn’t expect to be selected for Singapore.

Adiba Sanas Primayuga

Euis Siti Farhatus Sa’adah, who made the U-14 squad, said she beamed when her name was called.

I really didn’t expect it, praise be to God. I thought I wouldn’t be picked, but it turned out my name was called by Coach Timo. I will fight as hard as I can to become champions.

Euis Siti Farhatus Sa’adah

Girls’ football development looks ever more promising

The MLSC All-Stars 2026 sends a positive signal for the future of women’s football in Indonesia. The tournament not only produced champions but also opened the way for young talents to gain international experience. The success of All-Stars Kudus in defending their title, the rising quality of matches and the selection of 34 players for SingaCup 2026 show that grassroots development is beginning to bear fruit. If tiered competitions like this keep expanding, Indonesia’s chances of building a strong foundation for women’s football will grow.
