The shaping of the future of Indonesian girls’ football has entered a new chapter after 34 young players were selected to compete internationally. Quoting Suara, the U-12 and U-14 talents are scheduled to travel to Singapore to compete in SingaCup 2026.
29 June 2026 – The best players were chosen through tough selection at the MilkLife Soccer Challenge (MLSC) All-Stars 2026 at Supersoccer Arena, Kudus, Central Java, from 23 to 28 June. The programme, initiated by the Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation with MilkLife, is designed to forge competitive mentality and give international experience from an early age.

Former national coach Jacksen F. Tiago was entrusted to lead the selection directly as head coach, ensuring objective assessment focused on the technical quality and performance of the young athletes. The scouting team prioritised not only individual ability on the pitch but also players’ intelligence in reading match situations. Decision making is a crucial point for coping with the pressure of competition in Singapore.
We look for players with potential in terms of football intelligence; they must be able to adapt quickly to changes in the pattern of play.
Jacksen F. Tiago
Although most of the players are still in elementary school, they are judged able to deliver dynamic and effective play.
Seeing their performance on the pitch, we are optimistic of building a team that is competitive, attractive and able to compete with other countries.

PSSI support on the road to the Women’s World Cup
The early-age development step drew positive appreciation from PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir. The competition programme is seen as in line with the federation’s long-term blueprint, which targets the Indonesian women’s national team reaching the 2035 Women’s World Cup.
We are no longer just talking about plans, but already moving with real action through programmes and competitions such as MilkLife Soccer Challenge.
Erick Thohir
Solid collaboration between the private sector, educational institutions and parents is seen as the main pillar in producing a golden generation of national girls’ footballers. The success of this year’s series also encourages the organisers to expand the competition to new cities such as Jayapura and Garut next season.
Players’ enthusiasm for Singapore
The 34-player squad was announced after the final in which Kudus All-Stars took the title, beating Jakarta All-Stars on penalties. The tight contest in the final reflects talent quality that is increasingly evenly distributed across regions.
I did not expect to be selected for Singapore, especially coached directly by Coach Jacksen. We are optimistic we can be number one there.

Euis Siti Farhatus Sa’adah, a member of the U-14 team, voiced the same spirit, ambitious to give her maximum performance in defence of the red-and-white flag.
Long-term commitment to regeneration
The high interest in girls’ football is reflected in the 25,727 participants across the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All-Stars 2026 season. MilkLife Soccer Challenge Program Director Teddy Tjahjono underlined that the tournament puts sustained regeneration of the national team above short-lived trophies.
The international experience at SingaCup aims to form more mature talent as part of the regeneration of the Indonesian Women’s National Team.

Besides technical maturing, the organisers also ensure the athletes’ nutrition needs are met to support their growth. The main focus of the 34 players is now entirely on physical and mental preparation for SingaCup 2026, held from 31 October to 7 November.
