The Tajimalela FA U-14 football team from Bekasi City, West Java, managed to make history by winning the 2025 SingaCup title. This prestigious tournament will be held in Singapore from November 4 to 7, 2025. This victory was achieved after they defeated the Malaysian club, La Stallions, with a narrow score of 1-0 in the final round.
This brilliant achievement is a matter of pride for Indonesia, especially Bekasi City, which has managed to show the potential of young football in the international arena. Tajimalela FA U-14 coach, Sugeng Waluyo, expressed his pride in the struggle and dedication of his foster children. They have gone through a series of careful preparations before competing.
The club, which is headquartered in the Yonif Mekanis 202/Tajimalela complex, Rawalumbu, Bekasi City, managed to become the best among the 20 participating clubs. Participants came from seven different countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand, India, Australia, and of course Indonesia.
A Brilliant Journey to the Peak of Champions
Tajimalela FA U-14’s journey in the 2025 SingaCup was not easy, but they managed to show consistent performance. This young team is able to conquer tough opponents from various countries. The 1-0 victory over La Stallions in the final was the culmination of their struggle.
Coach Sugeng Waluyo stated that this success was the fruit of intensive preparations that had been made. “Alhamdulillah, we managed to bring home the championship trophy to the country after defeating the Malaysian club La Stallions with a narrow score of 1-0 in the final,” said Sugeng. The preparation involves a fierce internal competition.
From the internal competition, 19 of the best players were selected who then underwent training for six months. The dedication and hard work of the players and coaching staff proved to yield sweet results in this international tournament.
