Harimau Malaya star, Safawi Rasid, who is currently playing with Kuala Lumpur City FC (KL City), stole the spotlight when he came out to give a special surprise to TSS Selangor FC’s young players recently. Safawi’s presence at the training session for the under-8 and under-9 teams (U8 & U9) really brightened the atmosphere and became a beautiful memory for the little ones.

Safawi was warmly welcomed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TSS FC, En. Dino Omar, along with the coaching staff and team officials. Despite being busy with the training schedule with KL City, he still took the time to meet the young players who will be playing in the SingaCup 2025 tournament this weekend.

Apart from giving advice, Safawi also had the opportunity to have a friendly chat and take pictures with the TSS Selangor children, treating their questions patiently and friendly. That moment will certainly be a precious memory for the young players who made Safawi an example to achieve their ambitions in the world of football.

TSS Selangor FC in a post on its Instagram page also expressed its appreciation to Safawi for his willingness to attend and spend time with their young players. According to the team management, the presence of national football figures like Safawi plays a big role in instilling enthusiasm and confidence in the country’s next generation of football players.

“Thank you to Harimau Malaya national player, Mr. Safawi Rasid, who surprised the TSS Selangor Malaysia U8 & U9 children during this week’s training session.

“Thank you to Safawi for coming to give words of encouragement and motivation, in addition to supporting the children who will fight in the 2025 SingaCup tournament this weekend,” said TSS Selangor on Instagram.

During the visit, Safawi was not only present to provide moral support, but also to share his experiences and words of motivation to young players who are just starting out in the world of football.

Safawi’s presence is seen as providing an extraordinary injection of motivation for the TSS Selangor young squad ahead of the international tournament. Many young players must consider the visit of their idol as a great honour and source of inspiration to give their best performance in the Linga Cup later.
