JAKARTA, KAIDAH.ID – Deputy Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia, AM Akbar Supratman, on Saturday, November 1, 2025 night, visited the Palu U-13 Football Team which will represent Indonesia at the 2025 SingaCup in Singapore, as well as handed over assistance worth IDR 100 million.

During the visit, Akbar Supratman, who was accompanied by Special Staff Nizar Rahmatu, was received directly by the team official, Gamal Hakim.

On that occasion, Akbar expressed his pride in the struggle of young people in Central Sulawesi who were able to penetrate international tournaments. “These children carry the good name of the region and the nation. I want them to leave with enthusiasm and belief that they can compete with teams from other countries,” Akbar hoped.

The Palu Selection U-13 team is scheduled to leave for Singapore on Monday, November 3, 2025. They will start the first match at the Arena Stadium, Singapore, on Monday, November 4, 2025 at 08.00 local time against Australia, and continue the second match at 11.00 against India.

On Tuesday, November 5, 2025, Palu Selection will return to the field for the next two matches: at 08.00 against Malaysia and at 10.00 against Singapore, still at the same venue.

Akbar, who is also a member of the DPD RI Dapil Central Sulawesi, also said that he would be present to watch the first match of the Palu Selection team.

“I want to encourage them on the field. This is not just a match, but a symbol of the spirit of regional children who dare to challenge the world,” he said.

Meanwhile, team official Gamal Hakim expressed his gratitude for the support. “Mr. Akbar’s help and attention are a great energy for the children. We will fight as best as possible to bring the name of Central Sulawesi and Indonesia in the Lion Cup,” he said.

The participation of the Central Sulawesi U-13 team in the 2025 SingaCup event is a matter of pride for the people of Central Sulawesi, as well as emphasizing that the potential of early childhood football in the region continues to grow and deserves to be taken into account in the international arena.
