Bali United Academy’s young squad again recorded a proud achievement on the international stage.

SINGAPORE, 7 November 2025 – At the Singa Cup 2025 International Youth Football Tournament in Singapore, played from Saturday (1/11) to Tuesday (4/11), the BU Academy U-12 team reached the final and took the runner-up spot after a narrow defeat to Negeri Sembilan FC by a two-goal margin.

Besides the U-12s, two other teams, BU Academy U-8 and BU Academy U-10, also performed impressively. The U-8s reached the quarter-finals and the U-10s the round of 16, showing the consistency of Bali United’s youth development in international events.

BU Academy U-12 head coach I Wayan Agus Wira Senjaya said he was proud of his players’ fight. He judged the result to be not only about the trophy but about the process and valuable learning.

Being runner-up is not only about the result but about the development process experienced throughout the tournament. I am very proud of the fighting spirit, discipline, teamwork and respect of the players towards opponents at international level. All of this is valuable provision for them to keep developing.

Coach Agus

The Gianyar-born coach, who recently led his team to the football gold medal at Porprov Bali 2025, also stressed the importance of early-age development foundations in producing professional footballers.

This achievement is a big motivation for the whole Bali United Academy family. We will keep strengthening the youth development programme because we believe a strong early foundation will produce great players in the future.

Coach Agus

Going forward, the academy programme will follow modern football philosophy, with better coaches, up-to-date training methods and wider opportunities to play at national and international level.

We want more Bali United Academy players with strong character, high sportsmanship and extraordinary fighting spirit. That is the DNA we want to build in this academy.

Coach Agus, an AFC C-licensed coach
