Palu – The Mayor of Palu, represented by Acting Assistant for Economic Affairs and Development Rahmad Mustafa, officially sent off the Selection Palu football school (SSB) team on Friday (24/10/2025) in the courtyard of his office.

The SSB Selection Palu team will represent the city of Palu in the Singa Cup international football championship to be held in Singapore from 29 October to 7 November 2025.

In the Mayor’s written address, read out by Rahmad Mustafa, the Palu city government (Pemkot) expressed its pride and highest appreciation to all the players, coaches and team officials who will carry the good name of Palu, and even Indonesia, onto the international stage.

Your presence at this prestigious tournament is not just about taking part in a competition; it is concrete proof that Palu’s young people can compete on the world stage if they are well coached and given the widest possible opportunities.

Rahmad Mustafa

Singa Cup itself is a tournament that brings together the world’s best young football talents from many countries. For that reason, he continued, Selection Palu’s participation is not only an honour but also a challenge to show sportsmanship, discipline and a never-give-up spirit, values that must be part of every true athlete.

Rahmad Mustafa also gave the players a special message to play with heart and a strong fighting spirit.

Play with heart, compete with fighting spirit, and carry the name of Palu with pride. Stay united, respect your coaches and fellow players, and show positive character with every step you take on the pitch.

Rahmad Mustafa

He also thanked the coaches and officials for their dedication in nurturing Palu’s young athletes, and hoped the guidance given would be the best preparation for the players to achieve results and gain valuable experience in Singapore.

The Palu city government, he said, will keep supporting sports development, especially early-age football, as a vehicle for shaping character, discipline and regional pride.

We want to see more of Palu’s sons and daughters achieve and bring honour to the nation at national and international level.

Rahmad Mustafa

Closing his address, Rahmad Mustafa offered prayers and hopes that the SSB Selection Palu team would achieve the best results at Singa Cup 2025.

Bring the spirit of ’Palu Mantap Bergerak’ onto the world’s green pitch! Show that from Palu a golden generation is born, one that is brave, of character and accomplished.

Rahmad Mustafa

The send-off ceremony was solemn and full of spirit, attended by players, coaches, parents and a number of Palu city government officials who offered their support and best wishes for the city’s proud team.
