Singapore, 29 October 2025 – SingaCup 2025 returns from 1 to 8 November with its 15th
edition, featuring over 160 teams from 13 nations across 7 age groups, celebrating youth
football, unity and global friendship. Recognised as one of Southeast Asia’s premier youth
football tournaments, SingaCup continues to champion inclusion, opportunity and social
impact.

Mr David Neo, Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth & Senior Minister of State
for Education, said:
“Sport teaches us that our differences are our strength. By bringing people together through
competition and teamwork, it fosters understanding, respect and equality. Sport is the
universal language that unites, rather than divides.”

Mr Selvakumar Panneerselvam, Tournament Director, expressed:
“Reaching our 15th edition is both a celebration and a responsibility. SingaCup is more than a
tournament, it’s a platform for young athletes to compete, learn and build friendships across
borders. This year’s record participation and inclusivity initiatives reflect our belief that
football belongs to everyone.”

Para Football Showcase & Ricardinho
For the first time, SingaCup will host a Para Football Showcase, featuring 15 local youth
teams and aiming for international representation from 2026. Futsal legend Ricardinho, sixtime
World’s Best Player and FIFA Futsal World Cup & UEFA Futsal EURO Champion, will join
to mentor young athletes and demonstrate his dazzling futsal skills live, inspiring all
participants. The week will culminate in a grand finale with a SingaCup Select side facing the
Special Olympics Singapore team, celebrating courage, creativity and the unifying power of
football.

Ms Lilian Chee, Director, Sports, Singapore Tourism Board, added:
“We are pleased to host SingaCup once again, which provides young athletes an exceptional
platform to showcase their talents. The inaugural Para Football Showcase and Ricardinho’s
participation at SingaCup are testimony to the tournament’s continued growth,
strengthening Singapore’s reputation as a premier sporting destination. We look forward to
welcoming all participants and their families to Singapore to explore our diverse and vibrant
offerings.”

Mr Loh Kum Fei, Director of College Services at ITE College Central shared:
“We are honoured to play a key role in co-organising the inaugural Para Football Showcase,
a meaningful initiative that reinforces ITE College Central’s commitment to inclusivity and
community engagement. The event also serves as a valuable platform for our Student Icons
and ITE Sports Ambassador, Mr Fandi Ahmad, to exemplify one of ITE’s core values — Care —
beyond the campus, while fostering greater awareness and support for para sports.”

Football with Purpose & Global Representation
The Boots Donation Drive returns, collecting and distributing boots to underprivileged
communities in Laos and Sri Lanka. Referees from Europe and Asia will raise officiating
standards, while youth teams from Australia, Guam, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan,
Laos, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Thailand showcase the global
spirit of the tournament.

15 Years of Football, Friendship and the Future
Celebrating 15 years of unforgettable football journeys, SingaCup continues to champion
diversity, community and the limitless dreams of the next generation.

Welcome to Singapore. Welcome to SingaCup 2025.
