PALU – The Mayor of Palu represented by the Acting Assistant for Economy and Development of the Palu City Secretariat, Rahmad Mustafa, S.Stp., M.Si., officially released the departure of the Palu Selection Football School Team (SSB) on Friday (24/10/2025) in the courtyard of the Palu Mayor’s Office.

The SSB Selection Palu team will represent Palu City in the SingaCup international football championship which will take place in Singapore, from October 29 to November 7, 2025.

In the written remarks of the Mayor of Palu read by Rahmad Mustafa, the Palu City Government expressed its pride and highest appreciation to all players, coaches, and team officials who will bring the good name of Palu City and even Indonesia in the international arena.

“The presence of all of you in this prestigious tournament is not just to participate in competitions, but to be clear proof that young people in Palu are able to compete at the world level if they are coached well and given the widest possible opportunity,” said Plt. Assistant.

The SingaCup itself is a tournament that brings together the best young seeds of world football from various countries.

Therefore, continued the Acting Assistant, the participation of the Palu Selection Team is not only an honor, but also a challenge to show sportsmanship, discipline, and the spirit of never giving up—values that must be inherent in every true athlete.

On this occasion, Acting Assistant Rahmad Mustafa also conveyed a special message to the players to play with a high heart and fighting spirit.

“Play with your heart, compete with a fighting spirit, and carry the name of Palu with pride. Maintain cohesiveness, respect the coach and fellow players, and show a positive character in every step you take on the field,” said the Acting Assistant.

In addition, Acting Assistant Rahmad also thanked the coaches and officials for their dedication in fostering young Palu athletes.

The Acting Assistant hopes that the assistance provided can be the best provision for the players to achieve achievements and valuable experience during competitions in Singapore.

The Palu City Government, said the Acting Assistant, will continue to support sports coaching, especially early childhood football, as a vehicle for building character, discipline, and regional pride.
