It gives me great pleasure to extend a very warm welcome to all our participants of the 13th edition of the SingaCup. How time flies!

The SingaCup commenced in 2011 with 12 teams and I am delighted to report that this year’s tournament will involve over 130 teams from nine nations – Australia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand – across eight age groups.

We are looking forward to catching up once again with old friends and continuing to making new ones and are anticipating eight days of fantastic football conducted in the usual great SingaCup spirit of fair play and sportsmanship.

We are excited to welcome Mr Lee Tadanari as our Guest of Honor for SingaCup 2023. Tadanari-san is recently retired having a hugely successful football career, representing the Japanese National Team, winning the AFC Asian Cup in 2011 and played for Japanese giants such as Urawa Reds, Sanfrecce Hiroshima, Yokohama F. Marinos and also EPL side Southampton FC. We are delighted that Tadanari-san will be joining us at the SingaCup and look forward to him sharing his experience with our local and regional football communities.

SingaCup would like to thank all our strategic partners for their continued support in our SingaCup Foundation endeavours and for their signification contributions which are vital to the continued success of these projects which benefit underprivileged children in the region.

I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the whole SingaCup family – team officials, participants, parents, partners, volunteers and committee members – You continue to make the SingaCup the great event it is today!

Good luck to everyone and enjoy the tournament.

Yours in Youth Football,

P. Selvakumar
Tournament Director
