Farmel Isvil Football Academy U-14 Indonesia retained their title at the Singa Cup tournament in Singapore on Thursday (9/11).

SINGAPORE, 10 November 2023 – After winning the semi-final 1-0 against Tufcity (Singapore), Farmel beat LCS Football Academy White (Singapore) 3-1 in the final. The success repeats Farmel’s triumph last year, when they were also champions.

Farmel is one of Indonesia’s elite teams, with a good development programme. Besides the title, the team also took individual awards: the best player award went to Feri Saputra, and the top scorer award to Fardan Ary Setyawan, with 13 goals across the tournament.

This is teamwork. The success of being best player and top scorer is because of the team’s hard work. Feri and I agree that these best player and top scorer awards belong to both of us together.

Fardan Ary Setyawan

Fardan also thanked his teammates, who worked hard from the group stage to the final, and the coaches, team officials and parents who have supported them.

Of course this adds to our motivation to keep training even harder in the future.

Fardan Ary Setyawan

Team manager Boby Sutrisna also thanked Indonesia’s Ambassador to Singapore, Suryopratomo, who took the time to watch the final from the touchline.

Although the weather was not good because it rained constantly and several matches were delayed, this certainly affected the children’s condition. But, thank God, the coaching team managed it cleverly so we succeeded in defending the U-14 Singa Cup title.

Boby Sutrisna, team manager

Singa Cup, the article notes, is a youth football event held every year at The Cage Sports Park in Singapore. Participants come from countries such as Australia, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, India, Indonesia and host Singapore. Indonesia and Australia are the largest contingents, and one of Indonesia’s representatives is Farmel Isvil Football Academy U-14.
