Welcome All to Singa Cup 2012!

Very quickly, a year had past and we are now upon the 2nd edition of Singa Cup.

In the inaugural edition, we were privileged to witness the tenacity, commitment and spirit of these youths footballers, giving their very all in the matches. I personally was pleasantly surprised and impressed with how these young players putting 100% commitment into their game, into their tackles; playing out their hearts. And honestly speaking, some of these matches are more exciting and captivating than those European Football we catch on TV like a religion in our region.

This year, I am very pleased to present a bigger and better Singa Cup together with my partners at Dynamique Konzepts, whom had pulled out all stops to make all this possible. And for Joji, we are committed to continue our LIVE coverage of the tournament LIVE via SingaCup.com, SingaCup on Twitter and Singa Cup’s Facebook Page. I hope to bring to you, especially the parents of the kids whom aren’t able to come with their kids to Singapore: the atmosphere, excitement and thrills of Singa Cup 2012 via these internet channels.

Lets cheer on these young people, encourage them to do their very best and make this Singa Cup event, an unforgettable experience for the rest of their lives.

Good luck to all the teams, and see you at Singa Cup 2012!

Dear Teams,

It is indeed a privilege for NIVIA to be part of the 2012 edition of the Singa Cup, which is in essence, a platform for the next generation of football superstars. Football has always been the No.1 sport globally, and it continues to be a unifying force and a symbol of hope for millions who live in countries affected by war, poverty and ethnic division. I believe that with time, this power that the beautiful game has over the youth of the world, can be harnessed for the greater good of mankind. This is a start!

While football continues to bring positive change around the world, this tournament offers every talented youth an opportunity to realize his potential and shine. So we look forward to a great tournament with an abundance of skill, control, creativity, team work, tactics, individual brilliance and above all, the passion of youth, striving to succeed and win, in the right spirit. We will witness history being made and the emergence of new stars who will wear their nation’s colours and grace the teams of iconic clubs around the world, in the near future.

At NIVIA, we are proud to be part of every sportsman’s journey of excellence. We strive to deliver solutions that will enable him to reach his goals. Our belief in the power of sport and its ability to be a harbinger for positive change inspires us to seek new platforms. The Singa Cup is one of many such initiatives that NIVIA is associated with, but it is the one that brings us utmost happiness, because it helps create a strong foundation for the revival of football in Asia.

So it’s that time again.

I welcome you to be a part of this great showcase of youthful talent.

Dear, Participants,

I am pleased to extend a warm welcome to the 2nd SingaCup Tournament.

This tournament has captured the imagination of youth football development clubs in the region and has more than tripled the number of participating teams and includes two extra age categories including a women’s category for the first time.

We expect a minimum of five countries will be represented this year.

We would like to thank those companies who are supporting us this year and hopefully in future, the Singapore government and corporate Singapore will recognise the opportunity that is being provided to youth footballers and also the benefits it will provide to Singapore.

This tournament is designed to allow visitors to combine their sport with their holiday.

We hope you enjoy your experience both on and off the field.

Please respect the opportunity that has been given to you and approach the tournament in the best possible spirit and fair play.

Yours in sporting spirit.
