Bekasi City – A proud achievement was made by the Tajimalela FA U-14 youth team after coming out as the champion of the 2025 SingaCup which was held at the Lion City Sailors Training Centre, Singapore, Friday (7/11/2025).

This victory feels special because it is Tajimalela FA’s first debut in the international event. Sugeng Waluyo’s team successfully brought the trophy home after defeating the Malaysian club, La Stallions, with a narrow score of 1-0 in the final.

The club, which is headquartered at the Yonif Mekanis 202/Tajimalela Complex, Rawalumbu, Bekasi City, performed brilliantly throughout the tournament. They swept the victory from the preliminary round to the final with an undefeated performance.

Tajimalela FA has consistently faced strong opponents from various countries. They are the best among the 20 participating clubs from seven countries, namely Singapore, Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand, India, Australia, and Indonesia.

In the group stage, Tajimalela FA showed extraordinary dominance. They won 8-0 over Conscience Sport from India, then continued the positive trend with a 5-0 victory over Jurongville Singapore.

Not stopping there, Tajimalela FA again feasted on an 8-0 goal against LS Talent from Australia, and closed the phase with a 1-1 draw against Vachiralai United from Thailand.

Entering the quarterfinals, Tajimalela FA is getting more confident. They eliminated the host Gaulois Academy Singapore with a score of 3-0, while ensuring a step to the semifinals.

In the semifinals, Sugeng Waluyo’s team again performed solidly and managed to conquer New Land Football Academy with a score of 3-1, leading them to the top party.

At its peak, in the final against La Stallions (Malaysia), the young people of Tajimalela FA showed a winning mentality. One important goal ensured their first victory and trophy in the prestigious international event.

Tajimalela FA U-14 coach, Sugeng Waluyo, admitted that he was very proud of his team’s struggle. He said this victory was the result of hard work and careful preparation for many months.

“This team is the result of an internal competition that we held for six months. From there, 19 of the best players were selected. Alhamdulillah, their hard work paid off with the title in Singapore,” said Sugeng after the match.

The coach, who also successfully led the city of Bekasi to win the 2022 Porprov football gold medal, added that this victory is proof that early childhood coaching in Bekasi has been running well and is highly competitive at the international level.

According to Sugeng, the players brought to Singapore are the result of long-term coaching from various Football Schools (SSB) in Bekasi, as well as the guidance of PSSI Bekasi City. “They represent the extraordinary spirit and potential of Bekasi young football,” he said.

This success is also a motivation for the Tajimalela FA academy to continue to develop. Sugeng revealed that his party has prepared a big step by building a long-term football development project.

“In the future, we will form the ‘Bekasi City’ Project Academy as a forum for coaching young players. We want to partner with a team from the Searatin Cup and also design the Go Europe agenda,” he explained.

He added that currently the management is exploring cooperation with several foreign parties to open up opportunities for players’ training in Europe. “We are communicating with several academies in Europe to provide opportunities for our players to get a wider international experience,” concluded Sugeng.

Tajimalela FA U-14’s victory in the 2025 SingaCup is clear evidence of the progress of early childhood football coaching in Indonesia, especially in Bekasi City. This achievement also makes the region proud and an inspiration for the younger generation to continue to excel at the international level.
