BEKASI — The Bekasi City Government has once again shown its support for the development of early childhood sports talent. On Monday (27/10/2025), Bekasi Mayor Tri Adhianto officially released the departure of the Tajimalela Team, who will represent Bekasi City at the U-14 SingaCup International Tournament in Singapore.

The send-off ceremony took place at the Bekasi City Government Plaza, coinciding with a routine morning assembly with civil servants (ASN). In an atmosphere full of enthusiasm, young players from various Football Schools (SSB) across Bekasi City appeared eager ahead of their departure.

In his remarks, Mayor Tri Adhianto expressed his pride and deep appreciation to the young athletes who will carry the region’s name onto the international stage. He emphasized that their efforts bring pride to all residents of Bekasi.

“I feel proud of the enthusiasm and hard work of the SSB students who are members of the Tajimalela Team. You not only carry the name of the team but also the honor of the City of Bekasi. Show your best game, uphold sportsmanship, and make our city proud in Singapore,” said Tri Adhianto.

Tri added that participation in international events proves the quality of early childhood football coaching in Bekasi City, which continues to progress rapidly. According to him, tournaments like the Lions Cup provide valuable experience for building character and a champion mentality.

As a form of additional support, BPRS Patriot has committed to providing special savings prizes for athletes who win first place in the tournament. This support is expected to motivate the team to perform optimally on the field.

The U-14 SingaCup is an international football competition featuring youth teams from various Asian countries. The event serves as an important platform for nurturing competitive spirit and showcasing the potential of young Indonesian players on a global stage.

Tri emphasized that the local government remains fully committed to developing sports—especially football—through various coaching programs and infrastructure support. He explained that early childhood sports coaching is not only about competition but also about character building, discipline, and fostering a spirit of perseverance among the younger generation.

Tri hopes the departure of the Tajimalela Team will inspire other SSBs in Bekasi City to keep improving their achievements. He also reaffirmed the city’s goal to maintain its reputation as a region with a strong winning tradition.

“I want this departure to be a trigger for other SSBs. We have been a Triple Winner in regional sports events, and that achievement must be maintained,” he said.

Furthermore, Tri stated that Bekasi City is moving toward a grand vision of becoming a Sport City. The local government is preparing various modern sports facilities to support emerging young talents in the area.

He also confirmed that in 2026, Bekasi City will host the Provincial Sports Week (Porprov)—a major event requiring thorough preparation in all aspects.

“We continue to pursue the development of sports facilities and infrastructure so that they are ready to be used for the 2026 Porprov. Bekasi must be able to become a proud host,” said Tri.

The Mayor hopes that all stakeholders—government, private sector, and community—can work together to realize the vision of making Bekasi a center for the development of outstanding athletes.

Tri also reminded the players to maintain their health and teamwork while in Singapore. He encouraged them to show resilience and uphold the values of sportsmanship.

Coaches and team officials expressed their gratitude for the full support from the Bekasi City Government and promised to give their all to bring home an achievement that will make the city proud.

The atmosphere during the send-off was warm and full of hope. Parents, teachers, and representatives from the Bekasi football community were also present to give their blessings.

With the spirit and prayers of all residents, the Tajimalela Team officially departed on a great mission—to make Bekasi and Indonesia proud in Singapore.
