Bekasi (ANTARA) – The football team from Bekasi City, West Java, Tajimalela FA U-14 won the 2025 Lions Cup title which took place in Singapore on November 4-7, 2025 after defeating La Stallions 1-0 in the final round.
“Alhamdulillah, we managed to bring home the championship trophy to the country after defeating the Malaysian club La Stallions with a narrow score of 1-0 in the final,” said Tajimalela FA U-14 coach Sugeng Waluyo in Bekasi, Saturday.
The club, which is headquartered in the Yonif Mekanis 202/Tajimalela complex, Rawalumbu, Bekasi City, is the best of the 20 participating clubs from seven countries, namely Singapore, Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand, India, Australia, and Indonesia.
Sugeng Waluyo admitted that he was proud of the achievements of his foster children who had made a number of preparations before participating in the prestigious tournament under 14 years old.
“This is the result of the preparation of the internal competition that we made, 19 players were selected for six months. Alhamdulillah, we were able to win the championship title in Singapore,” he said.
The Tajimalela FA U-14 team after this championship is projected to be higher at the European level through special preparations through the Bekasi City academy project, namely Bekasi City, as well as for the long-term preparation of the Soeratin Team.
“The plan for the future is to go to Europe. We are communicating with the agenda in Europe,” he said.
Bekasi Mayor Tri Adhianto congratulated Tajimalela FA U-14 for the achievements that have been achieved and hoped that this football club can continue to carve out achievements at the international level.
“I am very happy with this achievement. This shows that Bekasi City has great potential in football. I hope this team can continue to excel and bring the fragrance of Bekasi City to the national and international levels,” he said.
