PALU – The Acting Assistant for Economy and Development of the Palu City Secretariat, Rahmad Mustafa, released the departure of the Palu Selection Football School (SSB) Team, in the courtyard of the Palu Mayor’s Office, Friday (24/10).

The SSB Selection Palu team will represent Palu City in the SingaCup international football championship which will take place in Singapore, October 29 to November 7, 2025.

Rahmad Mustafa expressed his pride to all players, coaches, and team officials who will bring the good name of Palu City, even Indonesia in the international arena.

“The presence of all the younger brothers and sisters in this prestigious tournament is not just to participate in competitions, but to be clear proof that the young people of Palu are able to compete at the world level if they are well fostered and given the widest possible opportunity,” said Rahmad.

Because, according to him, the SingaCup is a tournament that brings together the best young seeds of world football from various countries.

Therefore, continued Rahmad, the participation of the SSB Selection Palu Team is not only an honor, but also a challenge to show sportsmanship, discipline, and unyielding spirit—values that must be attached to every true athlete.

Rahmad also gave a special message to the players to play with a high heart and fighting spirit.

“Maintain cohesiveness, respect the coach and fellow players, and show a positive character in every step you take on the field,” he ordered.

Rahmad thanked the coaches and officials for their dedication in fostering young Palu athletes.

He hopes that the assistance provided can be the best provision for the players to achieve achievements and valuable experience while competing in Singapore.

The Palu City Government, said Rahmad, will continue to support sports coaching, especially early childhood football, as a vehicle for building character, discipline, and regional pride.

“We want to see more and more sons and daughters of Palu who excel and make the nation proud in the national and international arena,” he said.
